Kelly and his family moved to Holton in July to begin ministry at Evangel.  Kelly has been a pastor since 1985 when he started preaching at Well United Methodist Church as a college student.  Kelly graduated from college at Kansas Wesleyan then attended Duke Divinity School from 1988-1991 where he graduated with a Masters of Divinity Degree.  Kelly has been serving churches full time since 1991 including McPherson First UMC for 3 years, Delphos and Glasco UMC’s for 10 years and recently Sabetha First UMC for 11 years.  He is married to Nancy who is a piano teacher and until recently a stay home mom.  Kelly and Nancy have two children:  Joshua who is a math teacher in Oxford Kansas and Hannah who is a Worship Pastor in Illinois.   Kelly has a passion for the rural Kansas Church and loves to preach, teach, garden and collect pop/soda bottles.
