Pastor Hector 

Hector Sanchez was born in Monterrey, Mexico.  He worked as a master craftsman for twenty years before his commissioning as a GBGM missionary. Hector Sanchez was a missionary for eleven years of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, assigned to the Kansas East Annual Conference through the National Plan for Hispanic/Latino Ministries. He served as Director of “Mission La Esperanza”.  He also served as chaplain at Tyson Food for ten years in Emporia, KS. In 2012, Hector was appointed as associate pastor of Evangel UMC and pastor of Nueva Vida.  He is a local licensed pastor of the Great Plains Conference and is receiving seminary studies through the Course of Study Track of Saint Paul School of Theology.  He lives with three of his children, Devin, Alexis and Jackie. They are a musically talented family.
